Black Beauty Dvd

Which Movies Are Worth Keeping? Part 1?
I’m leaving home for college in a just over a month and I need to decide which of my vast DVD collection I should bring with me. Personally, I’d like to take them all with me, but I need some kind of voice of reason to help me decide which of my movies are worth taking along.
Here’s the first 20:
1969
40 Year Old Virgin
A Knight’s Tale
Air America
Airforce One
Alfie
Almost Famous
Already Dead
American Beauty
Attila
Australia
Babel
Beyond Re-Animator
Black Dahlia
Black Hawk Down
Bobby
Braveheart
Brick
Brothers Bloom
Brothers Grimm
40 year old virgin
Braveheart
Those are the only two I’ve ever felt the need to see more than once. The rest can sit at home.

Back to Bedlam $2.00 As a piece of propaganda, James Blunt’s album Back to Bedlam does more for changing the face of the British Army than a series of television adverts ever could. Swapping a rifle for a guitar, the former cavalryman’s ballad-heavy debut is a clearly aiming to win the battle for the public’s hearts and minds. The U.K. success of singles like “You’re Beautiful” and “No Bravery” (inspired by his time s… |

Meet Joe Black: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack $5.98 Meet Joe Black, director Martin Brest’s remake of the ’30s semiclassic Death Takes a Holiday, took widespread critical potshots for its three-hour length and laconic pace. Ironically, composer Thomas Newman’s score is a compelling exercise in musical economy–spare, emotionally longing arrangements where the spaces resonate almost as much as the notes. The composer (youngest son of the great film … |

The Lion King (Two-Disc Diamond Edition Blu-ray / DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging) $17.44 Not an ideal choice for younger kids, this hip and violent animated feature from Disney was nevertheless a huge smash in theaters and on video, and it continues to enjoy life in an acclaimed Broadway production. The story finds a lion cub, son of a king, sent into exile after his father is sabotaged by a rivalrous uncle. The little hero finds his way into the “circle of life” with some new friends… |

Bambi (Two-Disc Diamond Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging) $23.72 It always comes up when people are comparing their most traumatic movie experiences: “the death of Bambi’s mother,” a recollection that can bring a shudder to even the most jaded filmgoer. That primal separation (which is no less stunning for happening off-screen) is the centerpiece of Bambi, Walt Disney’s 1942 animated classic, but it is by no means the only bold stroke in the film. In its swift … |
